Job summary

Viva Leisure is seeking a Club Manager in Ipswich to lead a team, drive member sign-ups, manage renewals, and deliver exceptional member experiences. You will oversee daily operations, maintain safety standards, train staff, and develop local marketing initiatives to boost membership and club performance.

Ideal candidates will have First Aid/CPR cert, strong fitness industry knowledge, and proven sales and leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
• Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand.
• Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to be a role model and live Viva values and behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Drive new member sign-ups, manage renewals, and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure all members and guests receive high-quality service; handle complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standard of operational procedures; manage administration, auditing and organisation of the club, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and fully operational.
• Ensure all activities, equipment, and facilities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Recruit, train, schedule and manage in-club staff; ensure high team performance and morale.
• Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, community engagement events, and promotions to increase visibility and attract new members.
• Oversee the development and scheduling of fitness programs and classes, ensuring they meet member needs and industry trends.

SKILLS &QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:
