Job summary

Viva Leisure, parent company to Club Lime, seeks an Assistant Club Manager in Upwey, Melbourne as part of our Future Leaders Programme. You’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and development opportunities while driving member satisfaction and growth.

You’ll support daily operations, lead a high-performing team, and promote a safe, engaging club with strong focus on customer service and sales. This permanent part-time role offers progression toward Club Manager.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
• Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth by proactively following up on leads and walk-ins to maximise conversion.
• Monitor club performance metrics and support improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff to enhance sales and customer service capabilities.
• Ensure accurate onboarding of new members, including inductions and access setup.
• Promote additional services such as Personal Training, Programs, and Group Fitness to enhance member experience.
• Collaborate with the Club Manager on local marketing initiatives and community engagement.
• Respond to member enquiries and complaints, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of club facilities and equipment.
• Support safety compliance through audits, incident reporting, and hazard management.
• Assist with administrative duties and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Lead by example, fostering a positive team culture and supporting staff development and recruitment.

This programmeis designed to develop Assistant Club Managers into future ClubManagers and provide a pathway to manage your very own club.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Club Manager atour club in Upwey! In this role, you’ll gain hands‑on experienceand mentorship from industry leaders, while receiving personaliseddevelopment, upskilling opportunities, and constructive feedback tosupport your growth. You’ll be responsible for deliveringexceptional leadership and promoting health and well‑being amongmembers and staff, all while building the skills needed to progresstoward a future Club Manager role.

The Assistant Club Manager supports the Club Manager inoverseeing day‑to‑day club operations and plays a key role indelivering an exceptional member experience. Responsibilitiesinclude assisting in the leadership and development of ahigh‑performing team, maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑presentedfacility, and ensuring the club offers engaging programs that meetand exceed member expectations.

The role requires a strong focus on customer service,operational excellence, and driving new membership sales. In theabsence of the Club Manager, the Assistant Club Manager acts as theprimary point of contact and represents the club, ensuringcontinuity in leadership and service standards.

This is a permanent part‑time opportunity.

SKILLS& EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with:
