Job summary

Sinclair Dermatology in Melbourne is seeking a Clinical Trials Assistant to support the delivery of clinical trials, including sample processing, data entry and daily operations. You will work with Study Coordinators to maintain accurate records and participant safety according to GCP and SOPs.

The role requires biomedical/health science background, strong organisation, attention to detail and excellent communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• qualification or relevant studies in biomedical science, health science, nursing, laboratory science or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a busy clinical or research environment.
• High level of attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to maintaining quality documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and participant-focused approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while independently managing delegated responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn electronic clinical research systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Study Coordinators with day-to-day coordination and delivery of clinical trial activities.
• Communicate with participants, manage enquiries, appointments and recruitment.
• Process, prepare, store, document and coordinate shipment of biological samples.
• Monitor laboratory equipment and storage conditions, escalating issues as needed.
• Complete accurate data entry and review study documentation.
• Manage clinical trial supplies, kits, inventory and expiry dates.
• Prepare participant files and study materials for visits.
• Maintain clean, safe clinical areas and ensure confidentiality and SOP compliance.
