Job summary

Arcare Aged Care, a leading Australian provider with 60+ residences, is hiring a Clinical Lead to oversee resident care and wellbeing. You will ensure accurate documentation, meet legal requirements and support financial outcomes while maintaining clinical excellence.

Lead and supervise nursing and care teams, develop individual care plans, manage medications and wound care, communicate with families, and handle emergencies with calm, ensuring high-quality, person‑centred care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in aged care as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
• Expertise in medication administration and wound care.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: High-quality, person-centered care addressing medical, physical and emotional needs.
• Staff Supervision: Lead a team of nurses, caregivers and support staff.
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individual care plans.
• Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and adherence to schedules.
• Family Communication: Provide updates to families and involve them in care decisions.
• Crisis Management: Handle emergencies promptly and effectively.

About The Role

The Clinical Lead is responsible for providing efficient and effective management of all resident care and wellbeing. The Clinical Lead ensures effective documentation of care and service, meeting legal requirements and maximizing financial outcomes

• Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.


• Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.


• Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.


• Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.


• Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.


• Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Current AHPRA Registration (essential)


• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.


• Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.


• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.


• Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.


• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.


• An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.


• Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
