Job summary

Arcare Brisbane is seeking an After-Hours Supervisor (RN) to provide clinical leadership and oversee resident care, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services.

You will lead care staff, manage care plans, and ensure safe medication administration, with a 3-month fixed term for PM and night shifts, Monday to Friday as stated.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Bachelor of Nursing (or higher).
• Minimum 2 years' RN experience in aged care.
• Grade 5 Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Experience using ANNAC.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents.
• Leading and supervising nursing and care staff.
• Overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
• Ensuring safe and accurate medication administration.
• Providing effective communication and support to residents' families and representatives.
• Responding to emergencies and managing critical incidents professionally and calmly.
• Maintaining compliance with aged care standards and organisational policies.

About the Role

What we're looking for

• Current AHPRA registration

• Grade 5 Registered Nurse
• Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated experience using ANNAC
• Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and wound care
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High-level documentation skills in care planning and evaluation
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team
