Job description

  • A fresh career direction beyond retail sales
  • Join a well-established business
  • Structured hours with weekends free

Love the world of jewellery and retail, but ready for a change from weekends, late nights and the constant pace of the shop floor?

This is an opportunity to take your retail or administration experience in a different direction, joining a well-established jewellery business in a role that combines customer order coordination, sales support and behind-the-scenes operations. Working from the Melbourne CBD store, you'll play an important part in the journey of custom jewellery orders, ensuring every detail is taken care of from the initial paperwork through to the finished order being ready for collection or dispatch.

You'll work closely with jewellers as they bring customer orders to you, helping prepare and process the necessary documentation, coordinate order progress and ensure everything is accurately recorded and moving through the right channels. It's a hands-on, detail-driven role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in getting things right and wants to remain connected to the retail and jewellery world without the demands of a traditional sales floor position.

What you'll be doing
  • Receiving customer orders from jewellers and preparing the documentation needed to progress each order.
  • Processing sales orders, quotations, invoices and payments, ensuring all details are accurate.
  • Coordinating order progress, production timelines and dispatch to ensure everything is completed efficiently.
  • Keeping customer records, sales documentation and order management systems up to date.
  • Assisting with stock control, inventory monitoring, quality checks and monthly stocktakes.
  • Supporting the sales team and State Manager with day-to-day administration and operational tasks.
  • Managing incoming enquiries and helping ensure orders move smoothly through each stage of the process.
What you'll bring
  • Previous experience in retail, administration, sales support or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to keep things organised.
  • Confidence working with numbers, handling transactions and maintaining accurate information.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to managing competing priorities.
  • The ability to learn new systems and follow established procedures.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with different people across the business.
  • An interest in jewellery, with experience in the industry or knowledge of precious metals considered a bonus rather than a requirement.

Jewellery industry experience or knowledge of precious metals would be highly regarded, but it isn't essential. We're open to retail professionals with strong sales experience who understand the importance of accurate orders and customer expectations, as well as administration candidates looking to build their career within the jewellery industry.

Why you'll love this opportunity
  • Monday to Friday: Enjoy a consistent 8:30am–4:30pm schedule, with weekends free.
  • A specialised industry: Work within the world of fine jewellery, supporting the process behind beautifully crafted pieces.
  • A change of pace: Apply your existing retail or administrative skills in a more structured, operations-focused position away from the traditional shop floor.
  • A role with purpose: Take ownership of the details that keep customer orders progressing smoothly and accurately.
  • Melbourne CBD location: Work from the heart of the city in a store-based environment.
