Job summary

AustraCold is recruiting a Client Relationship Manager for its Melbourne, VIC operations. You will be the primary contact for key clients in cold storage and temperature-controlled transport, driving service excellence and business growth.

In this full-time role reporting to senior leadership, you will coordinate with warehouse and transport teams, review performance metrics, and contribute to contract negotiations while expanding the client base in the competitive 3PL market.

About the role
We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager – 3PL Cold Storage & Transport to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in strengthening and expanding our client base within the cold chain logistics industry. As Client Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and identifying opportunities for business growth. This strategic position directly contributes to AustraCold's success and reputation in the competitive 3PL market.

Reporting to: CEO and Managing Director

What you'll be doing

Building and maintaining strong, long-term trusted relationships with existing clients across the cold storage and transport business

Serving as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams (warehouse operations and transport operations) to ensure seamless service delivery

Identifying client needs and developing tailored solutions that align with their business objectives

Regularly reviewing client accounts, performance metrics, and satisfaction levels to drive continuous improvement

Supporting contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments with professionalism and commercial acumen

Resolving client concerns and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring issues are escalated appropriately when necessary

Generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship development

Preparing monthly and quarterly reports on client performance, service metrics, and business development activities

Collaborating with operational and management teams to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality service

Staying informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to position AustraCold competitively

What we're looking for

Proven experience in client relationship management or account management, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or the 3PL sector

Strong operational knowledge and understanding of cold chain logistics, temperature-controlled storage, and distribution operations

The confidence to challenge process constructively and hold stakeholders accountable

A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service excellence

A sound understanding of WMS, TMS and customer reporting systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail

Commercial acumen with the ability to understand contract terms, pricing structures, and financial implications

Experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment

Strong organisational and time management skills

Professional presentation and report-writing abilities

A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service

Relevant qualifications in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are advantageous
