Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Cleaner to join a leading seafood processing facility in Morningside, QLD. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation throughout the facility, with a focus on food safety in a cold environment.

This role offers Monday to Friday day shifts (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and ongoing long-term employment for reliable, physically capable candidates who can handle regular manual handling and equipment movement.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a food manufacturing, seafood processing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced processing environment.
• Comfortable working in a cold environment (approximately 5-10°C).
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow workplace procedures and safety requirements.
• Reliable transport.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning seafood processing and production areas
• Cleaning and sanitising machinery, equipment, floors, walls and workstations
• Moving and handling machine parts and equipment as required
• Regular manual handling of items weighing 15 kg+
• Assisting with seafood processing and general production activities
• Packing seafood products in a wet and cold processing environment
• Following strict food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
