Job summary

Huon Aquaculture's Hygiene team in Ingleburn is expanding and seeks reliable Hygiene Process Operators to uphold high food safety and quality standards in a busy processing facility.

Casual, Monday–Friday shifts; must hold a current Australian forklift licence, be physically fit, and able to work safely in a food processing environment; full training provided and supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current Australian forklift licence required.
• Ability to lift up to 15 kg.
• Experience in a food processing or industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise processing equipment and machinery in line with hygiene schedules and food safety requirements.
• Operate a forklift to move hygiene equipment, waste bins, and cleaning supplies.
• Prepare and use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness across production areas, including floors, drains, walls, and workspaces.
• Assist with dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment during routine and deep cleans.
• Complete hygiene records and checklists to support food safety compliance.
• Identify and report hygiene, maintenance, or safety concerns to the Hygiene Team Leader.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, efficient, and audit-ready environment.

What we're looking for

• Current Australian forklift licence (essential).
• Ability to safely undertake physical work, including lifting up to 15kg.
• Comfortable working in a food processing or industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous cleaning, hygiene, manufacturing, or processing experience will be highly regarded.
