Job summary

Downer is seeking a Full Time Cleaner to join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team. You will help keep public areas clean and promote a positive image of the site to visitors, reporting to the Public Realm Supervisor.

You'll handle waste removal, floor maintenance, and detailed cleaning across public realm areas, with emphasis on quality standards, safety and reliability. A strong work ethic and Australian Driver’s Licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial/industrial cleaning is preferred.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubber, sweeper, walk behind buffing machines preferred.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Exceptional personal presentation
• Must have Australian Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

• Waste removal – picking up rubbish, emptying bins, removing sharps & contaminated waste
• Floor maintenance – sweeping, mopping, using scrubbers/polishers
• Detail Cleaning & washing – low & high reach areas, fixtures, fittings, windows, vents & walls

We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time Cleaner. What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Waste removal – picking up rubbish, emptying bins, removing sharps & contaminated waste

Floor maintenance – sweeping, mopping, using scrubbers/polishers

Detail Cleaning & washing – low & high reach areas, fixtures, fittings, windows, vents & walls

Public Realm Areas – entrances & car park thorough fares

Ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed to established cleaning standards

What You’ll Bring (experience required)

Experience in commercial/industrial cleaning domain is preferred

Experience operating cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubber, sweeper, walk behind buffing machines preferred
