Job summary

Arcare Aged Care invites applications for a part-time cleaning role across one of our Queensland facilities. Great hourly rate with super is offered, Monday to Friday from 8am to 2pm, delivering a reliable schedule in a supportive team environment.

In this role you will maintain a clean, safe, hygienic environment for residents, follow infection control procedures, manage waste, stock supplies, and use cleaning equipment to keep the facility in top condition.

Qualifications

• Must be adaptable and willing to learn.
• Collaborative and good at teamwork.
• Friendly, effective communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas and bathrooms.
• Dispose of waste according to guidelines and safety protocols.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE.
• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, trolleys and cleaning consumables.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
