Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is hiring a dedicated cleaner for a brand-new 136-bed residence in Melbourne. This permanent part-time role (Thu–Sat, 8am–4pm) pays $29.98 p/h plus super and shift penalties where applicable.

You’ll maintain clean, safe, and hygienic environments for residents, manage waste, stock supplies, and operate cleaning equipment in a supportive team. Applicants must have Australian Working Rights and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check; Arcare champions diversity and

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other areas.
• Dispose of waste (regular and medical) following guidelines and safety protocols.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE to prevent infections.
• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies and ensure availability for residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums and trolleys.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
