Zusammenfassung

Uniting AgeWell in Bendigo is seeking a Part Time Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Shifts include Sunday 8:00am–12:00pm and Mon; Tue 7:00am–3:00pm, with a supportive team focused on high-quality care.

You'll help ensure hygienic areas, resident privacy and adherence to infection control standards, while contributing to a values-based, not-for-profit workplace.

Qualifikationen

• Experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of OH&S procedures, chemicals and safe work practices is preferred but not essential.
• Understanding of infection control procedures is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team.

About the role:

Join Uniting AgeWell as a Part Time Cleaner in Bendigo and play an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Working Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pm and Monday and Tuesday 7:00am to 3:00pm, you'll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in delivering high-quality services and making a positive difference in the lives of older people every day.

• Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
• Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
• Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
• Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
• Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:

• Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
• Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
• Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
• An understanding of infection control procedures
• Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• A current Working With Children Check card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
