Job summary

Maryborough Education Centre in Victoria is seeking a P-6 Classroom Teacher specialising in Performing Arts, Science or STEM to deliver engaging programs and support student growth.

You will implement high-impact teaching, use data to inform practice, and collaborate with families and the school community. The role operates within the two classroom teacher ranges, with opportunities for professional learning and leadership as experience grows.

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills; responding to student learning needs.
• SC2: Planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies; evaluating learning growth.
• SC3: Monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and feedback to students/parents.
• SC4: Interpersonal and communication skills; collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• SC5: Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values; reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Contributing to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
