Job summary

Maryborough Education Centre in Victoria seeks classroom teachers across Range 1 and Range 2 to plan, prepare and teach programs that achieve specific student outcomes. Teachers engage in critical reflection to improve knowledge and skills, collaborating with staff and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.

Desired candidates will work within the Department values, contribute to professional learning and school policies, and participate in activities

Qualifications

• SC1: Knowledge of curriculum with literacy/numeracy focus and responding to learning needs.
• SC2: Planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• SC3: Monitoring/assessing learning; using data to inform teaching and feedback to students/parents.
• SC4: Interpersonal/communication skills; collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• SC5: Alignment with Department values; reflect and engage in professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals; contribute to curriculum development and evaluation.
• Undertake other school duties as determined by the Principal; participate in parent/teacher activities.
• Range 2: mentor teachers, supervise student teachers, advise on professional learning and data-informed practice.
• Range 1: develop classroom skills with guidance, participate in policy development and school priorities.
• Engage in school duties and partnerships supporting student outcomes.
