Job summary

St Andrew’s College, Marayong is seeking a compassionate Classroom and Learning Support Officer to join on a temporary part-time basis. You will work closely with teachers and the learning support team to provide individualized learning and wellbeing support for a student.

The role involves assisting with learning, engagement, mobility and personal care needs while upholding the student’s dignity, independence and wellbeing. Early applications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid Working with Children Check.
• Experience supporting students with disability or additional needs.
• Willing to undertake personal care and mobility support training.
• Certificate III/IV in Education Support is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised learning and wellbeing support under teacher direction.
• Assist student participation in classroom activities and school life.
• Provide mobility and personal care assistance as required.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social inclusion.
• Support safe transitions between classrooms and areas of the College.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and relevant professionals.
• Follow individual support, health and safety plans.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
