Job summary

St John's College, Woodlawn is seeking a dedicated Classroom and Learning Support Assistant to assist students with diverse learning needs in a Catholic school setting.

The role is part-time and temporary, commencing 28 January 2027, term 1 2027, with an emphasis on collaborative program delivery, progress documentation, and supporting classroom teaching staff.

Applicants must have a NSW Working with Children Check and show commitment to the school ethos; two referees should be provided.

Qualifications

• knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
• experience in working with children with special needs, including children on the autistic spectrum
• awareness of the needs of students with diagnosed allergies and training in the use of EpiPen
• ability to successfully implement programs and document progress regarding individual and/or small group support
• preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with special needs
• experience in working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment
