Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is hiring a Senior Claims Team Leader in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis with a hybrid model (Sydney CBD office and WFH). You will lead and mentor the claims team, ensuring cost-effective, professional, customer-focused service while driving continuous improvement and staff development.

We seek candidates with General Liability experience, 3+ years of management experience, and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• General Liability background with extensive insurance experience and at least 3 years management experience.
• Ability to build and develop business relationships with clients and Service Providers
• Ability to comply with relevant state legislation
• Insurance policy interpretation skills
• Strong level of interpersonal skills
• Commitment to quality and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Ensure the claims team delivers exceptional Customer Service in a manner that upholds the SIRA Customer Service Principles
• Ensure the delivery of cost effective, professional and customer-focused claims service
• Lead quality assurance activities, including audit results, data integrity, process refinements
• Lead Tier 1 activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives and prevent any recurring or systemic incidents
• Manage team performance in line with team targets and service level agreements
• Ensure appropriate team capability with effective recruitment and staff development planning
• Provide day-to-day management and technical expertise to the team
• Manage approvals outside of team delegations in relation to payments, letters, declinatures, mediations, etc.
