Job summary

EML Group in Sydney is seeking a Claims Assistant to join the SIG Admin team on a 10-month full-time secondment. The role provides admin support to the claims team and works in a small, high-performing unit with work-from-home flexibility after training.

The position is based in the Sydney office with in-office work three days per week from February 1, 2027. We are welcoming applications from individuals with administration or customer service experience looking to build a career in insurance,

Qualifications

• At least one year experience within current role at EML.
• Willingness to explore new experiences in a different business unit and develop relationships with new colleagues.
• Strong Microsoft skills including Teams, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, professional and customer-focused support to 15-20 Case Managers and other claims staff.
• Handle liability letters, authorize simple payments and organize travel for claimants.
• Request clinical notes and assist with ad-hoc duties and projects as needed.
• Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate documentation for referrals to stakeholders.
• Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Support team during planned and unplanned leave.
