Job summary

Rural Affinity is seeking a Claims Specialist to deliver fair, efficient, and customer-centric end-to-end claims management with a focus on property and motor claims. You will collaborate with brokers, repairers, assessors and internal teams to ensure timely fulfilment of claims while upholding Rural Affinity’s standards.

This role offers opportunities to deepen motor claims exposure, broaden technical capability across various claim types, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of insurance claims handling experience, with exposure to motor claims.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with sound judgement.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with motor claims processes, including repairer networks, total loss and salvage.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end claims with fairness, efficiency and a strong customer service focus.
• Conduct thorough investigation and information gathering to support sound decision‑making.
• Interpret policy coverage accurately and confidently.
• Liaise with repairers, assessors and other motor supply partners to coordinate assessments, repairs and vehicle recovery.
• Manage claim costs in line with policy coverage and delegated authority.
• Maintain comprehensive and well-documented electronic claim files.
• Identify and mitigate potential fraud risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Claims Guidelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, finance, compliance and broker management teams.
• Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
