TAL Australia is seeking a Claims Consultant to manage end-to-end Group Life claims for our AWARE fund, ensuring a flawless customer experience.

In this role, you will assess claims across TPD, Death, and Terminal Illness, review medical and legal evidence, and communicate with claimants and stakeholders with empathy. You will work with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and drive improvements.

Formación

• Claims management experience within Group life policies; TPD/Death/Terminal Illness exposure preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills; effective communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and manage Group Life claims across TPD, Death and Terminal Illness from lodgement to determination.
• Review medical, financial and legal evidence to support fair, timely decisions.
• Communicate with claimants, trustees, employers and stakeholders with empathy.
• Liaise with internal specialists, rehabilitation consultants, practitioners, reinsurers and legal representatives.
• Ensure compliance with policy terms, legislation, and Life Insurance Code; maintain documentation.
• Proactively manage progress, identify barriers and drive positive customer outcomes.
• Contribute to process improvements and enhancements to claims experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of life insurance products and industry developments.

Job Description As a Claims Consultant within our Group Space for our AWARE fund, you will manage life insurance claims for start to finish, providing a flawless experience for our customer.

In this role you will:

• Assess and manage Group Life claims across TPD, Death and Terminal Illness from lodgement to determination.
• Review medical, financial and legal evidence to make fair, accurate and timely claim decisions.
• Communicate with claimants, trustees, employers and other stakeholders, providing clear and empathetic support throughout the claims process.
• Liaise with internal specialists and external providers, including rehabilitation consultants, medical practitioners, reinsurers and legal representatives.
• Ensure compliance with policy terms, legislation and the Life Insurance Code of Practice while maintaining accurate claim documentation.
• Proactively manage claim progress, identify barriers and drive positive customer outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support enhancements to claims processes and customer experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of life insurance products, claims management practices and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Qualifications Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy -TPD claims experience is ideal OR; Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
