Job summary

CMC are seeking experienced Leading Hands to support Bruce Highway upgrade projects in the Rockhampton Region. You will supervise on-site construction activities, coordinate trades and ensure works progress to program.

The role offers a 10/4 roster with camp accommodation and meals, with local DIDO options. A competitive rate with uplifts and a site vehicle is provided for the right candidate.

Applicants must have at least 2 years in civil infrastructure and be eligible to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years’ experience on a similar civil infrastructure road/bridge/pavement/drainage project –TMR or equivalent.
• Experience leading a team of multi-skilled plant operators and labourers.
• Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety and environment.
• Capable of following instructions and directions from supervisors and engineers.
• Experience supervising subcontractors' and suppliers' work and materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onsite construction processes and coordinate trades.
• Lead a multi-skilled team of plant operators and labourers.
• Ensure environment and safety requirements are met.
• Report to Supervisor and follow engineers' directions.
