Job summary

Civil Mining & Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to support a DTMR Bruce Highway upgrade project from Marlborough northwards. The role focuses on coordinating trades, maintaining safety standards, and supervising on-site activities to keep works progressing on time.

You’ll work on a 10/4 roster with site accommodation provided or DIDO if local, and permanent full-time work may follow for the right person willing to relocate or travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience on civil infra road/bridge/pavement/drainage projects.
• Proven ability to lead a multi-skilled team on site.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on environment and safety.
• Capable of following supervisors' and engineers' directions.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Hands-on site supervision and coordination.
• Able to operate site machinery as required.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident or valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite construction process and coordinate trades.
• Supervise day-to-day field activities and ensure work progresses per plan.
• Report to Supervisor on site progress and issues.
• Maintain safety standards and environmental requirements.
