Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a Skilled Labourer for our Central Construction team based at the Bomaderry Works Depot. You will be hands-on in construction and maintenance of Council assets, delivering quality infrastructure for the community.

Key duties include keeping Nowra CBD litter-free, performing manual tasks, operating small plant items, and completing safety paperwork. On-call availability and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months' civil construction/maintenance experience.
• Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
• Current NSW White Card.
• Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Nowra CBD clean and respond to repair requests.
• undertake manual tasks such as shoveling, screeding, raking, digging, lifting and traffic control.
• Operate and maintain small plant items (chainsaws, plate compactors, etc.).
• Work under routine supervision, individually or in teams on projects.
• Complete timesheets and daily site safety checklists.
• Other tasks within the construction/maintenance environment within abilities.
