Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council seeks a Leading Hand to operate plant and light trucks, perform routine maintenance, litter collection and project delivery across roads, drainage, parks and recreation facilities.

Reporting to the Central Drainage & Structures Supervisor, you will work on a variety of assets, complete safety checks, and demonstrate quality workmanship. On-call readiness and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction and/or maintenance activities.
• Experience operating minor and major plant and/or light trucks.
• Current NSW Class MR Driver's Licence.
• Current RMS-issued Traffic Control qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and light trucks to perform maintenance tasks across roads, drainage and parks.
• Carry out litter collection, pressure cleaning and routine manual labour.
• Complete paperwork such as timesheets and safety checklists accurately.
• Respond to defects and maintenance requests in the Nowra CBD area.
• Work under supervision or in a team to deliver quality workmanship.
