Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council in Bomaderry, NSW, is seeking a dedicated plant operator to safely operate a range of major plant and equipment and deliver maintenance and minor construction works. Reporting to the Central Drainage and Structures Supervisor, you will work closely with team members to ensure efficient delivery of Works & Services operations.

The role requires a Class HR Driver Licence, a White Card, and at least two years' hands-on civil construction or maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience operating major plant and equipment.
• Civil construction or maintenance experience.
• Current White Card and HR Driver Licence are required.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a range of major plant and equipment to deliver maintenance and minor construction works.
• Supporting and guiding team members to ensure efficient delivery of Works & Services operations.
• Promoting a strong safety culture through compliance with legislation, Council policies, and risk management practices.
• Contributing to emergency response activities and after-hours call-back duties.
