Job summary

Core Talent in Brisbane seeks an experienced Civil HSE Advisor to drive safety across civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. The role involves hands-on site work with project teams to promote proactive safety, review procedures, and ensure WHS compliance.

You will conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments while partnering with Project Managers and subcontractors to implement practical safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as HSE Advisor/Safety Advisor/WHS professional within construction or high-risk environments.
• Civil infrastructure, roadworks, rail, or utilities exposure is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and construction compliance.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree) desired.
• ICAM investigation training is advantageous.

The Company

The Role

We're seeking expressions of interest from HSE Advisors with experience across civil construction, infrastructure, or other high-risk project environments.

Depending on the opportunity, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with WHS legislation, and support the safe delivery of construction activities.

This is a hands-on, site-focused positions where you'll be actively involved in daily operations, conducting inspections, reviewing high-risk activities, supporting incident investigations, and helping project teams identify and manage risks.

We're particularly interested in HSE professionals who can build strong relationships with operational teams, influence safety behaviours, and provide practical advice rather than simply policing compliance.

Duties:

• Promote a proactive safety culture across civil construction and infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and construction compliance
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Relevant WHS qualifications, ideally Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree
• ICAM investigation training advantageous
