Job summary

Sydney Earthworks is seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor / Foreman to join our team on civil and earthworks projects across the Southern Tablelands region of NSW. This role is initially offered on a contract basis, with a genuine view to permanent full-time employment for the right person.

You will be a hands-on leader who can take ownership of site operations, lead crews and subcontractors, interpret drawings, coordinate labour and plant, and drive safety, quality and timely project

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Civil Site Supervisor / Senior Foreman.
• Experience in earthworks and civil construction.
• Experience managing crews, subcontractors and plant.
• Ability to read plans, levels and specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil and earthworks activities.
• Lead site crews, subcontractors and plant operators.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Oversee earthworks, drainage, formwork and concreting.
• Monitor progress and maintain schedules.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil and earthworks activities
• Lead site crews, subcontractors and plant operators
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Oversee earthworks, excavation, drainage, formwork and concreting
• Monitor project progress and maintain construction schedules
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site inspections
• Maintain strong WHS standards across the site
• Identify and resolve site issues efficiently

About you

• Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor / Senior Foreman
• Strong experience in earthworks and civil construction
• Experience managing crews, subcontractors and plant
• Structural, formwork and concreting experience highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret plans, levels and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A high level of safety awareness and commitment to quality
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to take ownership of site outcomes
• Willingness to work across the Southern Tablelands region
• Contract position with a view to permanent full-time employment
