Job summary

Ivory Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to lead earthworks projects, manage on-site crews, plant and subcontractors, and keep work progressing on program while prioritising safety.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will read plans, set out, manage SWMS, and drive productivity with a hands-on, site-focused leadership approach.

The role offers steady work and opportunities to progress to Site Manager as the business continues to win major earthworks contracts.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Civil Supervisor with a Civil Contractor.
• Strong background in bulk and detailed earthworks.
• Ability to read plans, levels and specs.
• Proven crew leadership and subcontractor management.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Running bulk and detailed earthworks on site day to day
• Managing crews, plant operators and subcontractors

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

An established Sydney Civil Contractor is looking for an experienced Civil Supervisor to run their earthworks jobs. They have been going for over a decade and have built a strong name across Sydney for getting tough jobs done right. They do bulk and detailed earthworks, excavation, demolition and remediation backed by a big, well maintained plant fleet. With plenty of work ahead, they are looking to add an experienced Supervisor to the team.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

You will be in charge of running the day to day on the ground. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage the crews, plant and subcontractors and keep the job moving safely while being on program. This one is for a Supervisor who knows earthworks inside out and knows how to get the best out of a crew.

DUTIES.

This position will include and not be limited to:

• Running bulk and detailed earthworks on site day to day
• Managing crews, plant operators and subcontractors
• Keeping the job on program and the crew productive
• Looking after safety on site, running toolbox talks and checking SWMS
• Reading plans and levels, setting out and making sure the work matches the drawings

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

To be successful for this role, the applicant will ideally possess:
