Job summary

The JRT Group is seeking Civil Excavator Operators for an immediate start in Queensland's Rockhampton region. You will operate excavators for trenching, drainage, and earthworks, loading trucks and assisting with underground installations.

You will work to project specs, follow WHS requirements, perform pre-start checks, and support daily production targets on site.

Qualifications

• Operating excavators for trenching, bulk earthworks, drainage, service installation, grading, and material handling.
• Excavating around existing services and working to project specifications and set-out information.
• Loading trucks and moving materials efficiently across site.
• Assisting with installation of underground infrastructure including drainage, water, and sewer networks.
• Working closely with supervisors and ground crews to achieve daily production targets.
• Conducting daily pre-start inspections and reporting any maintenance requirements.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and carrying out basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Working to construction programs and project schedules.
• Applying all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements on site.
• Completing daily paperwork including pre-starts, dockets, and operational records.
