Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil, Pipeline and Earthworks Superintendent for the Eva Copper Mine project in North Queensland. The role oversees direct hire and subcontractors on site, ensuring ES&H, quality and schedule compliance while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

This FIFO, 2:1 roster role combines site leadership with planning of manpower, review of contractor submittals, and coordination with engineering, client and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Preferably an engineering degree or minimum 10 years in civil/concrete works.
• Minimum 15 years in construction projects in contractor or PMC roles.
• Experience with large-scale bulk excavation and civil‑pipeline scopes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor direct hire and subcontractors to meet drawings, specs and schedule.
• Coordinate installation contractors, project status, schedule, cost control and change management.
• Interface with engineers, client, and stakeholders on earthworks and foundation works.
• Plan craft manpower and respond to industrial relations for recruitment and training.
• Review submittals, RFIs, field changes and As‑Builts.
• Maintain relations with other departments and coordinate jobsite activities.
