Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Supervisor to lead direct hire and contractor activities at the Eva Copper Process Plant in Queensland. You will oversee ES&H, quality, and schedule compliance while coordinating with engineers, clients, and sub-contractors on earthworks and foundations.

The role is FIFO from North Queensland on a 2:1 roster. Local applicants are encouraged to apply, with emphasis on experience in large-scale civil works and industrial plants.

Qualifications

• Recognized engineering degree or 10+ years in civil/industrial plant works.
• Minimum 10 years in construction projects in contractor or PMC role.
• Experience with large-scale bulk excavation and earthworks.
• Experience with large reinforced concrete pours on major foundations.
• Knowledge of safety standards, codes and procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor direct hire and sub-contractors to ensure ES&H, quality and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate installation contractors, project status, schedule and cost controls.
• Interface with contractors, engineers, client and stakeholders on earthworks and foundations.
• Review look-ahead schedules, material delivery and sub-contractor submittals.
• Review and approve sub-contractors' submittals and technical documents.
• Maintain relationships with other departments and coordinate site activities.
• Coordinate interfaces with other work groups on site.
