Job summary

Bechtel is delivering EPC services for the Eva Copper Mine Project in Queensland, Australia. The role provides leadership and technical expertise to the commissioning process, leading a team of EPCM engineers and subcontractors in electrical, instrument and control works.

You will establish procedures, supervise testing, and plan with construction activities, ensuring safe execution and alignment with project schedules and client requirements. FIFO 2:1 roster, local applications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to execute electrical, instrument and control commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Establish electrical, instrument and control commissioning procedures across all stages.
• Supervise construction for transportable switchrooms and coordinate FATs with suppliers.
• Participate in construction verification, walkdowns, and punchlisting for commissioning.
• Review commissioning activities for conformance with requirements.
• Mentor commissioning engineers, vendors and craft in safe execution.
• Coordinate with Mechanical commissioning to optimize overall effort.
• Use Smart Completion app to plan, execute and report commissioning activities.
• Coordinate supplier and OEM site visits.
• Complete progress reporting per project requirements.
