Job summary

Bechtel is overseeing the Eva Copper Mine Project in Queensland, delivering EPC for the process plant and non-process infrastructure. The Mechanical Field Engineer will support field engineering, verify materials, and ensure preservation and QA/QC across construction activities.

The role is FIFO to Cloncurry on a 2:1 roster with local applicants encouraged to apply. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and substantial experience in mining-related projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures.
• Experience in mechanical construction practices and design methods.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities and support project execution plans.
• Verify field engineering documentation and drawings and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Manage material take-offs, vendor storage, and preservation requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with clients and contractors.
