Glencore's Oaky Creek Coal in Tieri, QLD is seeking an experienced CHPP Fitter to provide mechanical maintenance support for safe, reliable operation. You will perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP equipment, conduct fault finding, and ensure compliance with site procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safe work practices, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for leadership within a mining environment and a 7/7 roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in a CHPP maintenance environment is essential.
• Mechanical trade qualification (Fitter) recognised nationwide.
• Current Standard 11 (Surface) or ability to obtain it.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance support for safe, reliable CHPP operation.
• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP equipment.
• Conduct inspections, fault finding, repairs and servicing to maximise plant performance.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and compliance with site procedures.
• Promote a positive team culture and safe work practices across the operation.
