Job summary

Glencore’s Oaky Creek Coal CHPP site in Tieri, QLD, is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join the maintenance team. Reporting to the CHPP Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will perform mechanical maintenance, planned and breakdown tasks, and fabrication/remediation across CHPP equipment in a safety‑conscious, collaborative environment.

You will hold a recognised Boilermaker trade and current Standard 11 (Surface) or ability to obtain, with a strong focus on fault finding, safety, and

Qualifications

• CHPP maintenance experience in a coal preparation plant or similar
• Boilermaker trade qualification recognised in Australia
• Current Standard 11 (Surface) or ability to obtain
• Strong fault-finding and decision-making skills
• Proven commitment to safety and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance support for CHPP to ensure safe, reliable plant operation
• Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on CHPP equipment
• Conduct fabrication, remediation and repair work across the CHPP
• Complete routine inspections and mechanical servicing activities
• Maintain high workmanship standards while following site procedures and statutory requirements
• Contribute to a positive team environment and promote safe work practices
