Job summary

Johnson Controls in Australia is seeking an experienced Chiller Technician to join our Service Team. You will handle on-site maintenance, commission chillers, and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems across diverse customer sites.

With 4+ years in HVAC or industrial cooling, you’ll read schematics, report findings clearly, and communicate effectively with clients. A current driver's license and the ability to pass medical and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a technician in HVAC or industrial cooling.
• Strong background in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical and/or electrical expertise within HVAC.
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system breakdowns and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Commission Chillers/HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Overhaul and fault-find across reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal systems.
• Document and report equipment results accurately.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide training and operational advice to customers.

About the Role
