Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Chiller Technician to join the Service Team in Australia. The role offers autonomy, technical challenges, and growth opportunities while working on diverse chiller projects for our customers.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and commission HVAC equipment on customer sites. 4+ years in HVAC, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver’s license are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a technician in HVAC or industrial cooling.
• Strong background in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical and/or electrical expertise within HVAC.
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system breakdowns and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Commission chillers/HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Overhaul and fault-find across reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal systems.

About the Role
