Job summary

Johnson Controls in Australia seeks an experienced Chiller Technician to join our Service Team and support growth across multiple sites. The role offers autonomy, technical challenges, and opportunities to develop leadership while working on diverse HVAC projects.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, commission equipment on customer sites, troubleshoot issues, and build strong customer relationships. Strong communication and diagnostic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a technician in HVAC or industrial cooling.
• Mechanical and/or electrical expertise within HVAC.
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Respond to system breakdowns and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Commission Chillers/HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Overhaul and fault-find across reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal systems.
• Document and report equipment results accurately.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide training and operational advice to customers.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical and/or electrical expertise within HVAC
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks
