Cater Care, at our Warrigal site in Bundanoon, NSW, invites a Chef Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure residents receive high-quality, diet-compliant meals. This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday–Friday roster and a chance to contribute to meaningful meals in aged care.

You will lead food preparation, manage bulk cooking, and maintain food safety standards while delivering excellent customer service to residents and clients.

Formación

• Trade qualification in commercial cookery is required.
• Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of texture-modified diets and meeting individual dietary requirements.

The Role

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, you will oversee daily kitchen operations and help ensure residents receive high-quality meals that meet their individual dietary needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals in a busy kitchen environment.
• Managing bulk food preparation and production.
• Preparing texture-modified meals in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements and established standards.
• Delivering friendly, professional customer service to residents and clients.
• Working independently to organise daily kitchen operations and prioritise tasks.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Supporting a positive dining experience through quality food and attentive service.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A recognised trade qualification in commercial cookery.
• Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of texture-modified diets and the importance of meeting individual dietary requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage priorities and maintain high standards.
• A current National Police Check and the ability to meet the site’s flu vaccination requirements.
