Qualifications

• Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a professional kitchen—cafes, pubs, restaurants, hotels, catering or aged-care.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to learn aged-care catering requirements, including IDDSI and texture-modified food prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, quality meals for residents.
• Complete food preparation and bulk cooking.
• Prepare texture-modified meals in line with resident dietary requirements.
• Work independently to manage the kitchen across the weekend.
• Complete general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and clean-down.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow relevant dietary and food service requirements.

As a Chef at Warrigal – Albion Park Rail, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day kitchen operations across the weekend and work independently. You will have the opportunity to use the skills you've developed throughout your career while learning the requirements of an aged-care kitchen.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook fresh, quality meals for residents

Position-Specific Checks

To be considered for this role, you must possess or be willing to obtain:

• A valid National Police Check
• Permanent part-time position with consistent weekend hours
• 16 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am - 6:00pm
