Job summary

Cater Care is hiring a Chef Manager at Warrigal, Bundanoon NSW. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, prepare nutritious meals, and ensure residents receive texture-modified options as required, while delivering friendly service.

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with sponsorship potential for the right candidate and a focus on care, pride and community in a supportive aged-care environment.

Qualifications

• A recognised trade qualification in commercial cookery.
• Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of texture-modified diets and meeting individual dietary requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and maintain high standards.
• Current National Police Check and ability to meet vaccination requirements.

Job Description

The Role

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, you will oversee daily kitchen operations and help ensure residents receive high-quality meals that meet their individual dietary needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals in a busy kitchen environment.
• Managing bulk food preparation and production.
• Preparing texture-modified meals in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements and established standards.
• Delivering friendly, professional customer service to residents and clients.
• Working independently to organise daily kitchen operations and prioritise tasks.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Supporting a positive dining experience through quality food and attentive service.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A recognised trade qualification in commercial cookery.
• Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of texture-modified diets and the importance of meeting individual dietary requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage priorities and maintain high standards.
• A current National Police Check and the ability to meet the site’s flu vaccination requirements.
