Kari Court, St Ives NSW, is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at Uniting – Kari Court in St Ives. This full-time role focuses on delivering nutritious, texture-modified meals with strong food-safety standards, while building strong relationships with residents and staff.

You will manage daily kitchen operations, bulk cooking, tray service, and independent leadership in a care environment, ensuring warm customer service and high-quality meals.

Qualifications

• Trade Chef qualification is essential.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification required.
• Experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or high-volume catering.
• Strong bulk cooking experience.
• Knowledge of texture-modified foods.
• Solid food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Hands-on, independent kitchen leadership.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As Chef Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring every meal is prepared safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Your role will include:

What You'll Bring

You are an experienced chef who takes pride in your work and understands the importance of food in an aged care environment.

You'll ideally bring:

• A recognised Trade Chef qualification
• Current Food Safety Supervisor certification
• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or high-volume catering
• Strong bulk-cooking experience
• Knowledge and experience preparing texture-modified foods
• A thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A professional, reliable and hands‑on approach
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of the kitchen
