Catering Industries Pty Ltd in Leeton, NSW, is seeking a FULL TIME Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations at an aged care facility. You will design menus, supervise staff, manage stock and ensure HACCP and food safety standards are met, while delivering nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary needs.

Work a balanced roster from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, comprehensive handover, and the chance to develop your team in a supportive, caring environment that puts residents first.

Qualificações

• 3+ years' experience in a similar role (aged care experience highly regarded).
• Cert III or IV in commercial cookery.
• Knowledge of Mandarin language desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Produce high quality meals in line with aged care food service/HACCP guidelines and QA procedures.
• Assist with menu design, changes and implementation.
• Assist with deliveries, stock handling and general kitchen cleanup duties.
• Provide meals suitable for specialised diets (e.g., purees, gluten-free, texture modified).
• Manage ordering, food preparation, service, and payroll approvals for the kitchen.

Work Schedule and Rate:

Monday to Friday from 8,30am till 17,00pm.

Occasional weekends may be required.

What You’ll Need

• A current NDIS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a caring attitude

Skills and experience

• 3+ years'experience in a similar role - aged care experience highly regarded.
• Cert III or IV in commercial cookery
• Knowledge of Mandarin language will be desirable
• Experience in large volume cooking as well as work autonomously and in group settings
• Reliable and punctual
• Collaborative and team player
• Team management experience
• Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
• Experienced in ordering, delivery and handling/control of stock.
• Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
• High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
• Must have reliable transport.

Key responsibilities

• Ability to produce high quality meals in line with aged care food service/HACCP guidelines, Quality Assurance procedures including low and high care residents.
• Assisting in menu design, changes and implementation.
• Assist with putting away of deliveries & general kitchen clean up duties.
• Good all-rounder in kitchen i.e. scones, cakes, desserts, soups.
• Responsible for preparation of special diets such as puree, gluten free and texture modified etc.
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Function within a busy kitchen whilst working harmoniously with the team. Responsible for entire kitchen operation including ordering, food preparation, service, staff training/management and payroll approvals.
