Job summary

Catering Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a Full-Time Chef for an aged care facility in Jimboomba, QLD. You will work with the Chef Manager to prepare nutritious meals for residents and uphold HACCP standards in a warm, supportive team environment.

Requirements include a Federal Police Check or willingness to obtain one, 3+ years in a similar role (aged care preferred), and a Cert III in commercial cookery is desirable. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a similar role in aged care is desirable.
• Cert III in commercial cookery is desirable.
• Experience in large volume cooking and ability to work autonomously and in teams.
• Knowledge of QA, WH&S, HACCP and food safety standards is essential.
• Reliable transport and punctuality are required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality meals in line with aged care food service and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with menu design, changes and implementation.
• Assist with deliveries and kitchen clean-up duties.
• Prepare meals for special diets (puree, gluten-free, texture modified).
• Maintain excellent organisation and multi-task in a busy kitchen.
• Work harmoniously with the team while meeting deadlines.

Catering Industries Pty Ltdis a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia's health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector. We currently employ over 1,800 personnel across various operations in our active market.

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Full-Time Chef to join our team at a warm and welcoming aged care facility in Jimboomba, QLD.
You’ll be working closely with our Chef Manager and making a meaningful impact through nutritious, delicious meals for our residents.

Roster: Monday, Thursday and Friday from 09.30 till 17.30 - Saturday and Sunday from 05.30 till 13.30.

What You'll Need: A current Federal Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

Skills and experience

3+ years'experience in a similar role -aged care experience highly regarded.

Cert III in commercial cookery desirable

Experience in large volume cooking as well as work autonomously and in group settings.

Reliable and punctual

Collaborativeand team player

Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.

Experienced in ordering, delivery and handling/control of stock.

Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.

High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.

Must have reliable transport.

Key responsibilities
