Job summary

Gusto Riverfront Restaurant in Noosaville is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This casual position offers flexibility while maintaining the high standards our guests expect, with you taking charge of a designated station.

You will prepare, cook and plate dishes, oversee station safety and cleanliness, monitor stock, train junior staff and collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional riverfront dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years experience as Chef de Partie or senior kitchen role.
• Proven expertise in a specific station (pastry, larder, etc.).
• Strong food safety practices and relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a designated station (such as sauces, grill, pastry, or fish) ensuring consistency and quality of all dishes produced.
• Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to restaurant standards and chef specifications.
• Maintain impeccable station organisation, cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels at your station and communicate ordering needs to head chef or sous chef.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff assigned to your station.
• Collaborate with other chefs de partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
• Adhere to all food handling, hygiene and safety regulations.
• Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and report any maintenance issues promptly.
