Job summary

Workers Hubertus in Luddenham, NSW, seeks a Chef de Partie to lead a section in a busy hospitality kitchen. You will work under the Sous Chef, ensuring meals meet high standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Join a team focused on quality, service and guest experiences. Must have Certificate III in Commercial Cookery; 2 years in a similar role is desirable, with own transport and a willingness to work Wednesdays to Sundays.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar professional kitchen role (desirable 2 years)
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards
• Manage designated kitchen section and ensure efficient service during busy periods (bistro and functions)
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation
• Assist with menu preparation, specials and new ideas
• Monitor stock levels, minimise food wastage and assist with stock rotation and ordering
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented kitchen
• Work with Sous Chef to achieve service and operational objectives
• Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen team members
