Job summary

La Piazza in South West Sydney is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead a section in a busy, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare and present dishes to the highest standard, collaborate with the team and ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed.

You should bring 2–3 years of Chef de Partie experience, relevant commercial cookery qualifications and a strong work ethic. A rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Relevant commercial cookery qualifications.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Sound understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking dishes in line with recipes and standards.
• Managing your section efficiently during service.
• Coordinating with kitchen team for timely meals delivery.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP.
