Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery is required and must be relevant to hotel/restaurant operations.
• Experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking procedures and methods is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are important.
• A positive, proactive attitude and passion for cooking is expected.
• Flexibility to work across all service periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner) per roster.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals to the highest standard, following recipes and maintaining consistency.
• Collaborate with and support fellow kitchen team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plating and presenting dishes to brand standards with pride.
• Assist the Chef in Charge with back-of-house rosters.
• Oversee stock control and proper storage of food and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas and equipment.
• Contribute to development of new menu items with Head Chef.
