Job summary

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat in New South Wales are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities include assisting in cooking, plating to brand standards, helping with rosters, stock control, cleaning, and contributing to new menu development with the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery is required.
• Previous experience in a similar hotel/restaurant role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking procedures and methods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and passion for cooking.
• Ability to work across breakfast, lunch and dinner as rostered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, following recipes.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plate and present dishes to brand standards.
• Support Chef in Charge with rostering and stock control.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas.
